The Sahara reel by Shimano is an affordable rear drag model finished in a very modern way. The new construction of the spool with a V-shaped edge and a winder. The new V-shaped spool design and Varispeed thread ensure excellent quality placement of the line or braided line on the spool, which is a prerequisite for long, precise and accurate casts. The revolutionary Shimano Varispeed system consists of two unusual toothed wheels, designed and manufactured using a special Shimano computer program. One is oval and the other has an unusual square shape. The AR-C spool causes the line to spiral out of the reel with a smaller diameter for longer, more accurate casts. Perfect multi-disc drag and drag fight ensure reliable fish hauling. The Sahara reel can be used in a variety of fishing methods from spinning and groundbaiting to spin fishing.
