Rod tips
An easily visible signal of strikes is one of the many elements that determine successful fishing. A tip is also an element that makes it more difficult for fish to break the line. It is used both in spinning and feeder fishing. There are several types of tip fishing lures, and each of them has slightly different characteristics. This gives you the opportunity to catch different fish.
Interchangeable tip
It is characterized by the fact that it is a separate part of the rod, put on its tip. They differ in terms of stiffness, so you can choose the best one for the given conditions. It is usually used when using the ground method, and specifically its variation - a vibrating tip. Interchangeable tips are most often made of fiberglass or carbon fiber. Especially the latter are very popular.
Tackle lures
Used for zander and perch fishing because of the delicacy with which they reach for food. They can be made of glass or carbon fibre, glued into a blank. This treatment allows to increase the sensitivity of the rod tip without weakening the whole blank.
Regular tips
They form a whole with the rod and are made of the same material. The use of carbon fibre means that rings with a diameter of a few millimetres can be made. The ones made of glass fibre are full models.
Which tip to choose?
For calm waters with minnows or rudds a soft tip (1/2 oz or 3/4 oz) will be a good choice. For medium fish a rod with a 1.5 oz bend curve will work better, and for rougher conditions a 2 oz bend is better. For big fish it is necessary to use a rod with a 2.5 or 3 bend curve. The decision concerning the choice of all accessories and fishing tackle should be preceded by a thorough analysis. Good preparation for fishing will make it easier to achieve the desired results.
